On Saturday we hosted the Northern area finals of Kevin Carter’s national Charity One-Ball tournament – raising money for UNHCR. The winner (again) was our own Mark Innes. A Nottingham Forest UNHCR shirt was awarded to a runner-up, Cathie Dance. Catering including canapes and fizz was provided by Irmgard and Michael Finnigan.

On Monday,  in spite of poor weather forecasts, 48 members came to our Coronation “Big Help Out” Bank holiday gala, enjoying a gymkhana, quiz, and amazing tea including coronation quiche cooked by our president, Ian Vincent, and festive cake provided by Diana Plant.
