In a remarkable double, Andrew Beaumont won the Nottingham B-level GC tournament on Wednesday 14th July in a field of 20 many of whom were ostensibly stronger than him. His handicap was duly cut, but not in time to prevent him being elegible for playing in and winning the C-level tournament which took place the next day. 

Congratulations to Andrew, and thanks to Cathy Turski who managed both tournaments. 

 

Our Summer School (for children aged 8-14) is coming up. No prior experience required but we also take children who have played before. If you would like to come, please get your parents or guardians to book you in. If you have children / grandhildren / relatives / friends of the relevant age range do please encourage them to consider it.
