Twenty Nottingham members and a future star of croquet, Andisha Hallam helping her parents around the lawn, (dont tell their opponents), played this years Hallam Doubles weekend.
The event was started to help new members play competitive croquet and improve their game and this year was no different.
This years winners :-
Omied hallam (-1) & Andy Dixon (16) beat Sue Wileman (11) & Alex McIntyre (16) +1 on time in a very close final.
Phillipine Hallam (16) won the most peels with 9 over the weekend and an amazing 6 in one game.
Alex McIntyre (16) only just beat Mark Lansdale (18) by one to make the most hoops with 46.
Paddy Chapman (-2.5) & Cathy Turski (18) won the quickest game in a fast 1hr 26mins.
Andy Dixon won the quiz, with no help from partner Omied.
Jan Draper (18) won the most improved player award and Martin Beacon (1) won the Brian Hallam award for the most encouraging partner.
The event raised over £100 for Cancer research in memory of Brian Hallam.
