Several Nottingham players were in contention for the British Open GC Championship held at Southwick between 19 – 24 June 2018. Rachel Gee, Richard Bilton, Ian Burridge and Will Gee all managed to win through the blocks to the last 16 knockout. Only Ian Burridge managed to get through the first round only to lose to the runner-up of the event John-Paul Moberly in the second round. Reg Bamford won the champioship and Richard Bilton won the Bowl. Euan Burridge also entered and finished a creditable 5th in his block whilst taking a couple of notable victories.

Nottingham CC won their 2nd round Mary Rose match in a convincing manner 5-0 winners over Pendle CC on Friday 21st June 2018 at Pendle.
Nottingham were 2-0 up at lunch, the doubles Ian Vincent (0) / Clive Goode (0.5) v Robert Essler (1) / Roger Scofield (2) being pegged down and ultimately unfinished.
