Last call

There will be a barbecue for all club members and partners – especially welcoming newer members – on Sunday 29th August from 5pm at the West pavilion. There will be a £5 charge to cover costs.

Please notify Diana Plant ( dianaplant@hotmail.com ) if you would like to come, and let her know of any dietary needs, by the end of Thurs 26th.

There is also a top level national Golf Croquet tournament taking place on Sat 28th to Mon 30th, so do come early (or at any time) to watch some virtuosic GC. Some of the players plan to join the BBQ when their games end. 

Our club's flagship 6-day Annual Tournament is in progress, under the convivial and capable management of Peter Death. We have a somewhat reduced entry as we have the use of only the 5 east lawns. We are pleased to welcome guests from around the country as well as many of our own members.

As ever, visitors are welcome to come and watch any time play is on, which will be from 9:30 am to about 8pm this week, Monday 16th to the finals on Saturday 21st. (The finals may finish around tea time). It was a pleasure yesterday to meet two prospective new members who are experienced croquet players and are house hunting around Nottingham.
