Sanaa Hallam won the AC B level tournament, beating Rachel Rowe in the final. The trophy, the Sage Bowl, and the court were decorated with the herb to mark the event. Richard White yet again both manged and catered for the tournament, with assistance from his daughter Georgia.
A Nottingham team made the journey to the delightful location of Belsay Hall (NW of Newcastle and possibly the most Northerly croquet club in England!) and were fortunate to find the courts playable after torrential rain. The morning session was close: we took the doubles and narrowly lost the two singles, but the home team consolidated their lead after an excellent lunch and sent us on our way with a strawberry tea.
