Omied Hallam retained the Men’s title and Philippa Hallam won the Women’s in the Croquet Association’s Peel Memorial Tournament, which we hosted last weekend.  David Brydon partnered Julie Horsley from Sidmouth to win the Lady Murray Vases for the Mixed Doubles.  Neal Bacon and Philippa gained Bronze Awards, and, along with Viv Staley and Cathy Turski, had their handicaps reduced.  For a full report, please see the CA Website.

The club is holding an open day from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, 9th May, to coincide with Nottingham University’s Mayfest.  No charge and no need to book: just turn up with flat soled shoes if you want to have a try at hitting balls through hoops.  The open day will be followed by a learn to play course, on Tuesday evenings starting on 19th May.
