Three of our four club members made it through the block stage into the knock-out in the World AC Championship in Melbourne. Ian Burridge went out in the first round and reigning world champion Paddy Chapman was knocked out last night by the young American Matthew Essick. However James Death won through to the quarter-final stage by beating Stephen Mulliner 3 games to 2. His reward is a match against Reg Bamford in the semi-finals, which will be shown live tonight (Thursday), starting at 10pm https://livestream.com/mysportlive/events/8995783
Other good news is that our fourth club member, Alain Giraud, has made it through the blocks into the knock-out stage of the Plate event.
